Imagining History: A Century of Gita Press

This interactive session discusses how peoples’ historical imagination or consciousness is constituted. It will do so by taking the audience through the history of ‘Kalyan’, a monthly magazine of Gita Press, now a century old. Kalyan was an everyday form of literature with deep social impact in the Hindi-speaking world and went a long way in enabling a kind of historical imagination that has now become common sense.
