About the Event

Ghassan Zaqtan is a Palestinian poet, novelist, editor and playwright.Samuel Wilder is a translator of Arabic literature, a writer and a student of comparative poetics. His recent translations include Zaqtan's 'Describing the Past' (2016) and 'Where the Bird Disappeared' (2018), both for Seagull Books.
